The AAI Elite Pommel Horse has been redesigned to keep up with the times and has become a favorite piece of equipment in the competition arena throughout the years. Easy-use engineering paired with long-lasting construction raises the status of the AAI Elite Pommel Horse.
After years of being able to use the pommel horse for vaulting as well ("vaulting horse"), in 2002, with the introduction of the "vault table" for the vault event, the pommel horse started to see its own remodel happen.
AAI has been steadily improving on the design of the AAI Elite Pommel Horse to be what you see today!

The AAI Elite Pommel Horse is designed with a larger working area to allow the athlete full use of the pommel horse. If you've seen a gymnast flying and whirling around on a pommel horse, you know that every bit of space on it is precious!
The flatter design of the AAI Elite Pommel Horse also aids athletes in executing off-pommel skills. The flatter design allows them to more-easily grip the edge, something the original rounded design of the pommel horse does not allow. Included pommels are also flat, not rounded.
The AAI Elite Pommel Horse adjusts from 95cm to 135cm in 5cm increments. The pistons are locked into place with the dual combination of a spin lock and a snap lock.
The AAI Elite Pommel Horse can be used as a freestanding piece of equipment for your lower level programs. A Tie-Down System can be installed for your more powerful athletes. Floor anchors and the Tie-Down System are not included but can be purchased separately.
