Carolina Gym Supply Above Ground Resi Mats are an integral product for any gymnastics program. They are especially useful for training dismounts off of the balance beam!

Foam

Carolina Gym Supply Above Ground Resi Mats are constructed with a solid layer of 12" soft polyurethane foam over a lattice construction of foam logs of differing high-densities. This construction gives the athletes a "cushy" landing without a fear of bottoming out the mat.

Mesh

Carolina Gym Supply Above Ground Resi Mats have to include mesh to allow air to escape and prevent mat seams from blowing out. You can choose to have either a mesh top (softer feel for the athletes) or mesh windows on the sides (more durable than a mesh top). Let us know your preference when you place your order!

Handles

Handles on the sides and bottom of the mat make moving these "whale mats" a piece of cake with two people. Handles are made with seat belt-grade webbing to withstand the weight of these mats as they are being transported around the gym to your different training stations. All handles are reinforced with webbing on the inside of the mat cover to ensure that handles will not rip-out.

The standard height of the Carolina Gym Supply Above Ground Resi Mats is 32". This is the most common height used in a training setting. We can also make Above Ground Resi Mats that are 24" tall, though they are less common.
